Volunteering

Threads of Change is 100% volunteer run. We could not do what we do without our team of dedicated volunteers. We have many volunteer roles: some of our volunteers work from home doing administrative work, washing laundry, pairing shoes etc.  Volunteers host open hours in our store after completing training. Donate

We rely on donations to keep the lights on at the store and to support some of our special programs.   Threads is 100% volunteer run – all donations go to operational costs and to providing tangible support to children in foster care.  If you feel called to support this mission please consider a monthly commitment – even $5 per month makes a big difference in helping us keep a store open to provide items children in care need.

Many groups have asked about sponsoring a donation drive.  In the past we have had groups do drives for diapers, underwear, night lights and toys.  We are always open to partnering with any community group to create a donation drive: if you are interested please start here and a member of our team will be in touch.

Our store often needs small items such as batteries or cleaning supplies.  Our wish list for our ongoing needs can be found here.
